The Weekend Shot

Music Induced Drinking

Megasaurus Rex is outta town this weekend so I’m running this old blog by my lonesome. It is probably for the best because I’ve been riding out a hazy cold for almost two weeks. Unfortunately, that’s meant that there’s been a lot more snot shots then drop shots. I have another blissed out Codeine heavy weekend in store for me. However, for a brief few hours this morning the sun was out and the flirtatious spirit of spring got my hopes up. I had an extra hop to my step and could feel the warm air fill my lungs. I practically wanted to get on my knees and pray for the sun to not leave us and that got me thinking. Maybe if we show the weather some more love it might just return the favor? Positive thinking! No better way to do that then some good ‘ol retro hippy sun jams.

What do we do when all the love is gone? When the serotonin’s dried up and all the cake’s been eaten? We close our eyes and wish we were somewhere else other than home. Its time to make some eyelid movies about the places we wish we were. Nothing lets your mind escape like pop music. Here’s to making your weekend drinking feel like paradise.

Who has full-bodied hair, timeless style and a grab-bag full of fake accents? This weekend is the celebration of the stunning young chap Nicholas Johnson as he turns another year. It’s no surprise that he’s good at getting low to deep beats so this weekend we’re dedicate our drop shot to “The Hair” himself. When you’re preparing your pre-funk goblet this weekend what will you choose? Let the firewater expertise of The Hair himself guide your decision.
